During the celebration of 24 anniversary of independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan Honored Artist of Russia, Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts Nikas Safronov congratulated the Uzbek people on the occasion of this significant date:
— History of Uzbekistan is reckoned by thousands of years. The international image of the country is largely due to its rich monumental and cultural heritage, original traditions. For many foreign visitors the art of the republic produces a fascinating impression, and we can assume that in his culture concentrated all values in Central Asia.
In your country from the first days of independence carried out extensive work on the restoration and promotion of cultural heritage, preservation of the historical memory of the people.
Such legendary cities like Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva indeed is not only a matter of national pride of the Uzbek people, but also the heritage of all mankind.
It is also important to note the genuine friendliness and hospitality of the population, which is also a hallmark of the country.
We know that Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Islam Karimov pays much attention to the education of the young, of harmoniously developed generation. With this erudite and developed in all respects young people, you can be confident that the country really has a great future.
Historically, this land was located in the heart of the Great Silk Road. Today, this is the way many different ideas and traditions, communication and meeting people from different cultures.
In connection with the 24th anniversary of independence of the republic I would like to wish all the residents of this sunny country further peace and prosperity!
