Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrives in Uzbekistan

Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit, UzA reports.

At the Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov, the distinguished guest was met by First Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Ilhom Nematov, Russian Ambassador to the republic Vladimir Tyurdenev and others.

The program of the visit provides for negotiations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a visit to the Tashkent city branch of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.

During the talks, bilateral cooperation in political, trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres will be discussed. It is also planned that the Ministries of Foreign Affairs will sign the Cooperation Program for 2020-2021.
