RUSSIAN REGIONS HOSTED A BUSINESS FORUMS DEDICATED TO UZBEKISTAN

Novosibirsk region and Krasnoyarsk land of the Russian Federation hosted business forums on trade-economic and investment potential of Uzbekistan.

The event, organized by the Embassy of our country in Moscow and the Consulate General in Novosibirsk, has been attended by representatives of regional administrations, ministries and departments, deputies, the leading manufacturing and trading companies, prominent public figures and academics, media correspondents in Russia.

During the meetings special attention was paid to the high macroeconomic indicators of Uzbekistan, achieved over the years of independence, as well as the main results of the investment policy and further liberalization of the conditions for the development of entrepreneurship, small business and private entrepreneurship.

Along with this, the participants were presented the tourist potential of Uzbekistan. In particular, it provides detailed information on the generated national stand of our country at the world exhibition "Expo Milano-2015", held in the Italian city of Milan from May 1 to October 31, 2015.

During the business forum in Novosibirsk, President of the Novosibirsk City Chamber of Commerce Yuriy Bernadskiy noted that economic achievements and created in Uzbekistan the favorable conditions for investors are a role model and has expressed interest in participation of Russian entrepreneurs in business forums and exhibitions held in our country.

In turn, Head of the Investment Policy and Territorial Development Economics Ministry of Economic Development of the Novosibirsk Region Lev Reshetnikov also praised the above successes and stressed the need to exchange existing list of investment projects for possible participation in their implementation, including enterprises of the Novosibirsk region.

Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the "Siberian agreement" Sergei Tikhomirov, in his speech pointed out that Uzbekistan has always been and remains one of the leading states in the region and the strengthening cooperation with the Uzbek enterprises in promising sectors, including industrial and agricultural complex, would give an additional impetus to the whole Russian-Uzbek trade and economic and investment ties.

During the business forum in Krasnoyarsk, Сhairman of the Committee on Rural Affairs and the agro-industrial complex of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk land, Valery Sergienko shared his impressions about the achievements of Uzbekistan in the past years and noted that "the representatives of business in the region need more frequent visits to Uzbekistan, because there is a lot of what you can learn".

Promising areas of trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Krasnoyarsk, according V.Sergienko may be delivered in the Uzbek region of plastic products and composite materials, a wide range of agricultural products, and has a special interest in the pharmaceutical industry, including the active use of the shuttle technologies.

Chairman of the Board "Kraypotrebsoyuz" Vyacheslav Ivanov highly appreciated the existing successful cooperation with our republic. In this context, it expressed interest and willingness in the organization of related exhibitions, as well as the establishment of the Trade House of Uzbekistan in the region. "All this will undoubtedly contribute to the organization of direct deliveries of a wide range of products from Uzbekistan", - V.Ivanov said.
