SAMARKAND HAS A SPECIAL PLACE IN THE COUNTRY WITH ITS HUGE POTENTIAL

On March 17-18, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Samarkand region for becoming familiarized with the progress of socio-economic reforms, construction and landscaping activities, new projects at places, and for conducting dialogue with people.

Samarkand region has a high economic potential, rich history and culture. This land has brought up great scientists, commanders, our ancestors, who have glorified the homeland to the whole world, have found here eternal peace. Not only our compatriots, but also tourists from different corners of the world come to the region to see these sacred places. The state pays constant attention and carries out large-scale activity on creating decent conditions for them, improvement of pilgrimage places.

This is evidenced by the extensive construction activities carried out at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Khazrati Khizr complex, where the founder of our independent country, the great statesman and politician, the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov found eternal rest.

Each of his trips to Samarkand, the Head of the state begins with a visit to this complex.

Samarkand has a special place in the country with its huge potential

On this trip, Shavkat Mirziyoyev also laid flowers to the burial place of the First President, paid tribute to his memory. The memory of the deceased was honored. Surahs from the Quran were read.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave recommendations on creating amenities for pilgrims, further improvement of the adjacent territory.
