Samarkand to host international conference on tourism on the Great Silk Road

On May 24-25 this year, Samarkand State University and “Silk Road” International University of Tourism will hold an international conference “Renaissance tourism at the crossroads of the Great Silk Road”.

It will be attended by more than 130 leading experts, scientists and industry leaders from 36 countries, including China, Russia, France, Italy, South Korea, Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Poland, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and others.

As reported by the Press Service of the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the opening ceremony of the conference will take place on May 24 at Samarkand State University.

At the conference, an open discussion platform will be created for representatives of business entities and departments responsible for tourism development. It is planned to discuss legal regulation issues of the industry, promotion of travel agencies and tour operators of pilgrimage tourism, exchange experience in religious tourism, innovative services, development of programs and professional technologies
