Israeli newspaper "Bukharskaya Gazeta" (Newspaper of Bukhara) published an article dedicated to the anniversary of the state independence of Uzbekistan.

The materials are excerpts from the speech of the President Islam Karimov at the festive ceremony dedicated to the important event. In particular it noted that independence became a truly momentous event fundamentally change the meaning and content of life of the citizens of the country, opened a new page in its history.

According to the Israeli edition, a short historical period the country has passed a distance equal to centuries, and today it is a modern, dynamically developing state. It is emphasized that the basis of achieved tremendous successes of the republic are selfless labor, great intellectual and creative potential, unwavering will of the people.

Special attention is given to the publication of the fact that the foreign policy of our country is based on the fundamental principles enshrined in the UN Charter and other international legal instruments. In particular, the Concept of foreign policy of Uzbekistan provides the solution to all arising conflicts by peaceful and political means.

— The primary task of the republic is the further development of friendly relations and mutual understanding with the countries of near and far abroad, strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation and stability in the Central Asian region, - informs "Bukharskaya Gazeta".
