SEMINAR TRAINING IN SURKHANDARYA REGION

In Surkhandarya regional association of trade unions held a training seminar on the theme: "Social partnership of state bodies with NGOs in the implementation of programs for socio-economic development", organized by IIMFOCS (National Institute on Monitoring Formation of Civil Society) with the financial assistance of OSCE Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan.

The aim is to increase the skills of leaders and activists of NGOs in the field of national legislation, regulating NGOs interaction with public authorities in the implementation of socio-economic development, training, development of project proposals for grant contests.

The event was attended by members of the regional department of Education, Health, Labour and Social Protection, Cultural Affairs and Sport, representatives of regional NGOs, experts of IIMFOCS, mass media.

During the event, the coach of the project familiarized attendees with the country adopted legislative acts regulating social partnership between state authorities and NGOs in the management and implementation of socio-economic development, in particular the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On social partnership".

Participants were also informed about the priority directions of the state social partnership between government agencies and NGOs in the implementation of programs: education, health, environment, employment, social support for vulnerable populations, development of sports and healthy lifestyles.

In addition, students were taught the development of project proposals for participation in the grant competitions of the Public Fund for Support of NGOs and other civil society institutions under the Oliy Majlis.
