The Kengash of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis held its session on 2 October.
The President of the Senate N. Yuldoshev chaired the session.
The Kengash adopted a resolution on the convening of the twelfth plenary session on 4 October 2017 in the city of Tashkent.
The agenda of the plenary session is set to include a number of laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan and issues aimed at increasing efficiency of the current reforms, strengthening international cooperation, consistent implementation of the State programme for the implementation of the Action.
Representatives of the upper chamber of the Oliy Majlis emphasized the importance of the adoption of the Law "On ratification of the Agreement between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic on Uzbek-Kyrgyz State border (Bishkek, 5 September 2017)" drawn up in pursuance to the Road map, to ensure timely and full implementation of the agreements reached during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Kyrgyz Republic on 5-6 September 2017.
This legal act was under scrutiny at the Legislative chamber of the Oliy Majlis, including at the political parties with the participation of experts and representatives of civil society institutions. It was adopted by the lower house of Parliament on 28 September 2017.
