SESSION OF THE SENATE OF OLIY MAJLIS OF UZBEKISTAN

In Tashkent on May 15 opened the second plenary session of the Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.

On the eve of a meeting of the Advice of the Senate, where the head of the working group informed on preparations for the forthcoming plenary session. The chairmen of the committees reported to the Senate Committee’s on conducted meetings and readyness of conlusions on laws and draft decisions on other matters submitted for the consideration of the second plenary session and exchanged views on the organization of its work.

At a meeting of Advice noted that the upcoming plenary session of the Senate is expected to consider 17 questions, including the 7 laws.

One of the features of the current plenary session is that it is conducted in accordance with the tasks set by the President at the first meeting of the Senate and a joint session of parliament that characterize the beginning of the implementation of large-scale works on their implementation of the Programme of Action of the Senate for 2015 and subsequent years.

Senators emphasized the urgency and importance submitted for discussion at the plenary session of the Senate of the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, aimed at the consistent reform and liberalization of all spheres of political, social and economic life, the further deepening democratic reforms and formation of civil society in the country. Among them - the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On compulsory insurance of civil liability of the carrier", "On securities market" (new edition), "On electronic commerce" (new edition), "On amendments and additions, as well as the Annulment of Certain legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan", provides for further improvement of the investment climate and business environment, enterprise development, strengthening of control functions of representative bodies, improving the legal and judicial sphere, to ensure public health protection, information security.

At the plenary session a number of laws on the ratification of international agreements aimed at further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates were also considered.

In addition, members of the Senate in plenary session in accordance with the constitutional authority to hear a report on the activities of a number of agencies and departments of the country in 2014.

The meeting discussed other issues related to the competence Advice Senate of the Oliy Majlis.
