SHABAB AL-NIL: "SHARQ TARONALARI" - ONE OF THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS EVENTS IN THE WORLD OF MUSIC

An article on the international music festival "Sharq taronalari" has been published on the pages of the Egyptian social and political newspaper "Shabab al-Nil" (Youth of Egypt).

As the newspaper writes, music forum in Samarkand, held on the initiative of President Islam Karimov since 1997 every two years, is one of the most prestigious events in the world of music.

The article emphasizes that the main purpose of the festival is to popularize the best achievements of national musical arts, preservation and development of unique traditions of the people, encouraging talents in music and singing, as well as the further expansion of international creative relations, the strengthening of mutual cultural and spiritual cooperation, chanting ideas of peace, friendship and mutual understanding.

In the publication special attention is paid to the fact that each time not only the number of contestants and creative level is being increased, but also the geography of countries participating in the grand festival of music. Therefore, groups and performers from 31 countries (last time – from 53 states) attended the first festival.

Egyptian newspaper pays attention to the fact that, traditionally, within the framework of "Sharq taronalari" hosted international scientific conference with the participation of scientists and experts from around the world who discuss the problem of preservation and development of the centuries-old musical traditions of peoples of the world.

Finally, it emphasizes that now in Samarkand thorough preparation for the X anniversary of the festival is carried out, and its organizers are doing everything to make the guests be able to provide the best examples of folk art and share their valuable experience.
