Pakistani English-language newspaper The Asian Telegraph published an article about the X International Music Festival "Sharq taronalari".

Music fr om ancient times has been closely associated with the deepest feelings of the people, as an integral part of their lives. And, perhaps, no coincidence that the basis for the name of the International Music Festival "Sharq taronalari" - "Melodies of the East" has become just that a word that has profound meaning for Uzbekistan to preserve the rich national and music traditions. Here, fr om time immemorial people have been listening to music, doing ablution, paying tribute to its purity and pristine. The music is simple but its philosophy is wise and deep.

The publication stresses that today, "Sharq taronalari" is one of the most prestigious international forums and recognized by UNESCO as the largest music festival of the East. Musicians all over the world are interested in the competition of national performance and international scientific conference, which is carried out in the framework of the festival. During it scientists from many countries of the world to exchange views in the field of musical art.

The article reported that in Samarkand has created all necessary conditions and facilities for high-level events. One of the most colorful promises to be a grand opening of the festival is in full swing work on updating the Registan amphitheater and stage. Preparing a large and interesting program that will present the diversity of vocal and dance art of the peoples of Uzbekistan.

Five days in the course of the festival will be music, filling the entire space of the legendary city and its environs. Keynote speeches will be held on the main stage - the Registan Square.
