The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has arrived in Beijing on a working visit.
PRC officials met the President of Uzbekistan at Shoudu International Airport.
The First Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, which was also attended by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, had taken place in 2017. More than 40 heads of state and government of foreign countries, international and regional organizations are expected to attend the current forum.
The agenda includes issues of further enhancing economic cooperation, intensification of interaction in search of new sources for long-term growth, promotion of green economy and innovation, implementation of priority infrastructure projects in the region.
The main events of the forum will begin tomorrow, on April 25.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan will hold meetings with the President of PRC Xi Jinping, heads of a number of foreign countries and international financial institutions, as well as leading Chinese companies.
