Shavkat Mirziyoyev speaks with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov over the phone

On December 30, a telephone conversation has taken place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The leaders of the fraternal countries exchanged sincere congratulations on the upcoming New Year.

Fruitful results of the visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan in November 2019 and the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States in Tashkent were noted with satisfaction.

Strengthening of relations in the spirit of good-neighborliness and strategic partnership, growth of export-import operations, successfully implemented projects in energy, agriculture, industry and transport are important results of bilateral cooperation.

The importance of expanding cultural-humanitarian exchange was noted.

Issues of regional cooperation and international policy were also discussed during the conversation.
