Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Nursultan Nazarbayev visited the Nazarbayev University and MEGA Silk Way, a mall.
Opened in 2010, the university includes eight schools, a centre and a library and provides education under international standards. Over 440 Bachelor students and over 170 Masters students graduate from the university every year.
President Mirziyoyev put his signature in the Book of Honoured Guests.
MEGA Silk Way houses stores, sport and entertainment centres, and offices. The centre is part of an architectural complex that will host EXPO 2017 from 10 June to 10 August.
The Centre organised a concert programme including Uzbek and Kazakh songs and dances and national craftsmanship exhibition.
The Presidents visited the Nur Alem pavilion at the EXPO 2017 centre.
President Mirziyoyev said EXPO 2017 will be an important event to promote cooperation between our countries’ businesses.
As part of the visit by our delegation, Astana held the National Industrial Exhibition of Uzbekistan and a business forum.
President Nursultan Nazarbayev then saw President Shavkat Mirziyoyev off.
