The Art Center Songnam Gyeonggi Province (South Korea) hosted an exhibition devoted to the rich culture and traditional art of Uzbekistan. It was organized by the Embassy of our country in the Republic of Korea with the help of the Art Center Songnam homonymous Cultural Foundation.
The exhibition was initiated in order to familiarize the Korean public with a rich historical and cultural heritage of the Uzbek people and the modern life of the country. The exhibition includes musical instruments, traditional costumes and headdresses, and other objects of applied art. In addition, it presents a vast array of photo and video materials, installed in a special electronic video guide of museum.
According to the President of Songnam Cultural Foundation Jung Eun-sook, the exhibition will contribute to a better understanding of the inhabitants of the Republic of Korea with the rich culture of Uzbek people and further deepening of bilateral relations in the cultural sphere.
Our information: Songnam Art Center was opened in 2005. The center consists of the Concert Hall, the Opera House, many theaters, art museum "cube", gallery "808", the Press Centre and the World Songnam museum of musical instruments.
