The Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran - Director of the Department for South Asia Mohammad Reza Bahrami, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the MFA of Uzbekistan, during the negotiations, the current issues of bilateral cooperation in the Afghan direction, as well as regional stability and security were discussed.

The parties confirmed their mutual interest in continuing the regular and constructive dialogue between Uzbekistan and Iran and agreed to maintain regular consultations in bilateral and multilateral formats.
