State institutions in Samarkand will be moved from the historical center to a new location

Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that government agencies and organizations for the provision of administrative services in Samarkand will be moved from the historical center to a new location.

Samarkand will be transformed into a comfortable and attractive green city with a population of over one million.

The city will include 18 thousand hectares of territories of Samarkand, Pastdargom, Oqdaryo and Toyloq districts.

Two tunnels and two bridges will be built in Samarkand.
