Dagestan (Russian Federation) hosted an international boxing tournament. 198 boxers from 16 countries attended it, according to the Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan.
Our team successfully participated in this tournament. In particular, in the final match Abdulhai Sharahmatov (56 kg) with a score of 3:0 gained a convincing victory over the Russian representative Ahmed Abdullayev and won the gold medal.
The team of Uzbekistan gathered one gold, five silver and one bronze medal. Our team took the second team place. The Russian team became the winner, third place went to the DPRK.
