TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

The capital has hosted a conference on modern methods of assessment of language skills and knowledge of students, organized by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, Uzbek State World Languages ​​University and the British Council in our country.

The event was attended by heads of departments of foreign languages, English teachers, testers fr om all national universities, as well as the leading British experts in the field. They noted that the development of communication methods of learning a foreign language is one of the main demands of the present, so the main task of teachers is to create a favorable atmosphere in the classroom, wh ere every student can improve and consolidate their knowledge through direct communication.

The conference discussed modern approaches and principles for assessing the knowledge and skills of students in a foreign language, as well as issues of development of new tests based on international experience. It was noted that the verification of students through reading, writing and speaking well demonstrates their level.

In addition, a joint program of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education and the British Council at the Uzbek State University of World Languages ​​held a practical training workshop on the assessment of knowledge of the English language in accordance with national and international standards. It was attended by more than 30 experts, representatives of the leading national universities and the State Testing Center under the Cabinet of Ministers.
