Meeting of the Organizing Committee for preparation and holding the International Conference “Action Strategy and strong social policy: international practice and experience of Uzbekistan” was held at the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan. The conference is scheduled to be held on April 24-26, 2018.
The meeting was led by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan – head of the complex on the issues of education, health, ecology, environmental protection, physical culture and sports K.Akmalov. It was attended by the Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan K.Rafikov, members of the organizing committee, heads and responsible representatives of ministries, departments and organizations that are members of relevant working groups for organizing and holding of the above-mentioned international forum.
The conference will be attended by responsible representatives and experts from more than 50 countries, as well as representatives of diplomatic corps accredited in Uzbekistan, international organizations, foreign trade union centers. Members of parliament, representatives of judicial and law enforcement bodies, ministries and departments, scientific and civil society institutions of the country, representatives of national and foreign mass media and news agencies will also take part in the international forum.
The main goal of the conference is to reveal the role, essence and significance of the Action Strategy on five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021, which marked a qualitatively new approach to the system of strategic planning of prospects for state and social development of the country, society, presentation of Uzbekistan’s experience in the sphere of strong social policy aimed at ensuring the interests and social protection of citizens, studying the experience of developed democratic countries in this sphere.
Within the framework of the conference, it is planned to organize trips to social facilities, organizations and institutions, as well as historical cities of the country in order to familiarize foreign experts with the results of activities carried out on the basis of the Strategy of Action.
