THE ANNIVERSARY OF INDEPENDENCE OF UZBEKISTAN HAS BEEN CELEBRATED IN ANKARA

Turkish capital hosted a reception dedicated to the celebration of the 24th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Minister of Culture and Tourism, representatives of public, political and business circles of Turkey, heads and members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the media attended the event.

Head of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey Yalcin Topcu, on behalf of his Government congratulated the Uzbek people with Independence Day. He stressed that Ankara attaches importance to developing relations with Uzbekistan.

Noting the important role of Uzbekistan in regional development, the Minister drew attention to the sustained growth of the economy, thanks to which the republic under the leadership of President Islam Karimov since independence has made significant progress in all spheres.

In this regard, Yalcin Topcu expressed confidence that Turkey will continue to cooperate with Uzbekistan in all spheres of mutual interest.

During the event, participants discussed in detail the achievements of our country familiarized with the stands of the available information materials on various aspects of the modern development of the country.

As part of the gala evening, guests were presented a cultural program, which included a concert with songs and dances performed by masters of arts of Uzbekistan.
