The chairpersons of the upper houses of parliament in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have agreed on developing a new "road map" for cooperation

Yesterday, the chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva, who is on a working visit to St. Petersburg to participate in a meeting of the Council of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, met with Maulen Ashimbayev, chairperson of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the information service of the upper house of Parliament, at the meeting, it was noted with satisfaction that in recent years relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have developed at the level of friendship, good neighborliness, strategic partnership, and alliance. This progress is attributed to open communication based on mutual trust and the strong political will of the leaders of the two states.

During the dialogue, the parties focused on enhancing interparliamentary relations with new practical content. They agreed to convene the next meeting of the interparliamentary commission between the upper houses of the parliaments of both countries and to develop a new "road map" for cooperation.
