THE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW GAS AND OIL WELLS GETS STARTED IN UZBEKISTAN

Natural Gas-Stream JV has announced a tender for the construction of 254 gas wells and 168 oil wells in Uzbekistan, as well as for the construction of the Uzneftegazdobycha field.

Natural Gas-Stream JV was established at the end of last year to conduct exploration work on the investment blocks Sechankul, Akjar and Chimbay, as well as the development of the fields of Urga, Akchalak and Chandir group.

The tender is conducted by order of Uzbekneftegaz, the joint venture is the organizer of competitive bidding.

According to the terms of the competition, the winner must build oil and gas production wells and arrange fields on a turnkey basis.

The tender is conducted within a five-year program to increase hydrocarbon production in Uzbekistan. In March 2017, the President of Uzbekistan approved a program to increase hydrocarbon production in 2017-2021. It is assumed that the implementation of the program will allow by 2022 to increase natural gas production in the amount of 53.5 billion cubic meters, gas condensate - 1.1 million tons, oil - 1.9 million tons. The total amount of investments under the program is estimated at $ 3.9 billion.
