A world-class ski resort will host its first guests this December.

The future Amirsoy ski resort will occupy an area of about 900 hectares in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region and provide for the creation of a network of snow ski slopes of varying degrees of complexity with a total length of about 21.3 km, seven cable cars, a snowboard park, a sports school, residential buildings and other resort infrastructure. The total cost of the project is more than 100 million euros.

The first stage of the project, which is planned to be commissioned in December this year, includes the construction of two ropeways with a length of more than 3 km, 13 ski slopes of varying complexity with a total length of 12.3 km, two artificial lakes, a helipad, an artificial snow making system, a winter tubing, a town of 21 buildings in the style of chalet, two restaurants, an instructor’s school, a multifunctional center with rental of ski equipment and other engineering and communications facilities for the full operation of the complex in winter 2018-2019. Snow-packing equipment (ratrak) is also purchased and is in the process of delivery. About 30 million euros have been allocated for these purposes; more than 300 jobs will be created.

In addition, during the visit of Deputy Prime Minister A.Abduhakimov to the construction site, the world leader in the production of cable cars – the Austrian company Doppelmayer demonstrated the technological road made to the upper point of the resort (2,292 m), where the upper station of the gondola 8-local cable car will be located, access roads to 19 pillars and pouring of reinforced concrete bases to them. The launch of test tests of two cable cars is planned for October this year.

They also discussed and resolved problematic issues that require immediate solutions for the timely launch of the first phase of the project, in particular, the acceleration of the construction of an access road and a high-voltage transmission line.
