The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan met with the EU Special Representative for Central Asia

Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met the EU Special Representative for Central Asia Terhi Hakala, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

"A pleasure to meet with the EU Special Representative for Central Asia H.E. Terhi Hakala and her team, – the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram channel. – Covered Uzbekistan-EU cooperation, as well as regional and global agenda. Today, Central Asia is getting more connected, working together towards common prosperity, increasing its attractiveness for foreign partners. We welcome the European partners to support our collective efforts in building strong global bridges".
It is worth recalling that on July 1, 2021, the experienced Finnish diplomat Terhi Hakala was appointed as the EU Special Representative for Central Asia. She succeeded Slovak diplomat Peter Burian, whose five-year mandate expired on June 30, 2021.
