THE ISSUES OF IMPROVING THE LEGISLATIVE FRAMEWORK OF MEDIA DEVELOPMENT

The metropolitan International Hotel Tashkent hosted the special event. There the work of three panel discussions was organized, in which experts discussed the most topical issues in the media, the press service of the NAEMM.

In particular, in the first panel discussion on "Improving the legislative framework of media development and enforcement of legal acts in the media sphere", the bills discussed in the media, as well as ensuring the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On transparency of activity of bodies of state power and management".

The event was held in partnership with the Committee on Information and Communication Technologies of Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan with the participation of experts of the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media in Vienna, Chairman of the Lithuanian Union of Journalists Dainius Radzyavichiusa and other national experts.

It was attended by representatives of the Association, leaders of non-state television and radio broadcasters, members of the Committee on Information and Communication Technologies of Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.

The main goals and objectives of the panel discussion was to consider and discuss the legal, socio-economic, organizational and technical measures aimed at further development of broadcasting and media, expansion and strengthening of their rights and freedoms, to obtain specific proposals, the definition of prospects of improvement of the legislative framework for media.
