The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the UN Under-Secretary-General for Counter-Terrorism Office signed the Road Map on cooperation

Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with the UN Under-Secretary-General for Counter-Terrorism Office Vladimir Voronkov, reports "Dunyo" IA correspondent.

"Pleased to meet with H.E. Vladimir Voronkov, United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Counter-Terrorism Office, – the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram channel. – Discussed our partnership in ensuring peace and security, current dynamics, and the efficient means to tackle existing and future challenges not only in the region, but also globally. Reviewed the successful outcomes of the First Central Asia Regional Expert Council Meeting on the Rehabilitation and Reintegration of Returnees: Cooperation for Peace and Security. We signed the Road Map on cooperation between Uzbekistan and UN CTO for 2024-2025".
It is worth noting that the UN delegation led by Vladimir Voronkov arrived in Tashkent to participate in the first meeting of Central Asia Regional Expert Council in Rehabilitation and Reintegration of Returnees from armed conflict zones. Its work was attended by high-level representatives of Central Asian states, international organizations – the UN and the OSCE, as well as specialists in the field of rehabilitation and reintegration of returnees from conflict zones, including in matters of bringing to justice persons suspected of committing criminal acts.
