The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held a meeting with the President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development Alvaro Lario in Rome, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
"Visited the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) HQ in Rome and met with its President H.E. Alvaro Lario, – the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram channel. – Maintaining close cooperation, bringing the best global expertise and experience to our country, food security and industrial agriculture development in Uzbekistan, implementation of IFAD country strategy for 2023-2027 were among key topics of our conversation".
The delegation of Uzbekistan, led by Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov, participated in the third ministerial conference in the "Italy – Central Asia" format on May 28-29 and held a number of bilateral negotiations in Rome.
It is worth noting that IFAD, established in 1977, welcomed Uzbekistan as a member in February 2011. Presently, Uzbekistan is implementing a new country program with IFAD for the period of 2023-2027.
