The number of higher education institutions in Jizzakh grows

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Jizzakh branch of Kazan Federal University.

The university is one of the oldest higher education institutions in Russia and covers a large number of educational areas. Its Jizzakh branch opened last year and currently educates 325 students. The institution is designed for 1,088 students.

It trains specialists in 11 areas – general medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, medical biochemistry, journalism, economics, geology, linguistics, software engineering, information systems and technologies, technological processes and manufacturing automation.

The Head of state instructed to allocate an additional building to the institution and expand its material and technical capabilities.
