THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE MEMORIAL COMPLEX OF FAMOUS POETS HAMID ALIMJAN AND ZULFIYA WAS HELD IN JIZZAKH

The event organized in this connection was attended by state and public figures, representatives of culture and art, writers and poets, descendants of Hamid Alimjan and Zulfiya, laureates of the State prize named after Zulfiya, admirers of literature.

The State Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan H.Sultanov, the Chairman of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan M.Akhmedov, the Chairman of the Creative Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan S.Hakimov, the literary scholar I.Gofurov and others noted that the alley of Hamid Alimjan and Zulfia created on the initiative of the President of our country Shavkat Mirziyoyev, specialized boarding school for in-depth study of the Uzbek language and literature named after them, the museum dedicated to them is a tribute to the memory of talented writers who have made a huge contribution to the development of national literature and beloved and revered by our people.

In the pre-election program of the Head of our state, special attention was paid to the wide propaganda of the literary heritage of our creative intelligentsia, including Hamid Alimjan and Zulfiya, strengthening the patriotic feelings in the minds of the younger generation, accustoming them to literature, improving the culture of reading. In this direction, a large-scale work has been carried out over the past period.

The President of our country during the trip to Jizzakh region on April 27 of this year emphasized the need for wide propaganda of the literary heritage of prominent representatives of our literature – Hamid Alimjan and Zulfiya, bringing the essence of noble ideas and concepts glorified by them to the young generation.

The family happiness of Hamid Alimjan and Zulfiya, the love and loyalty of these two creative figures are today an exemplar for our youth.

Opening of this complex was welcomed by all our compatriots with enthusiasm.

This monument to loving, devoted spouses, who, in addition to family ties, were also united by high poetry, who endured a lot of difficulties of life, the pain of separation, whose whole life was an example of nobility, humanity, patience and generosity inherent in our people, will undoubtedly serve our compatriots, especially the young generation, as a symbol of love and loyalty, dedication and patriotism.

The State prize named after Zulfiya was established in our country by the decree of the First President of our country Islam Karimov. The annual award of this prize has become an important factor in expanding the ranks of talented girls – followers of the people’s poetess, in general, educating comprehensively harmoniously developed youth – the future of our country.

According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan of June 23, 2017, a 4-storey modern building of a specialized boarding school for in-depth study of the Uzbek language and literature named after Hamid Alimjan and Zulfiya was built and put into operation in Jizzakh. There are also 100-person dormitory, dining room, assembly hall along with spacious, bright offices.

The memorial complex, created by the talented sculptors Tulagan Tojikhodjayev and Tulagan Yorkulov, will contribute to the enrichment of the spiritual world of our compatriots, especially the younger generation, upbringing them in the spirit of respect for national and universal values.
