The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev adopted the Decree on the program of events dedicated to the 70th Anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
According to the Decree, of May 5, 2018, the Commission on implementation of the Program of events dedicated to the 70th Anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights will be formed.
The main tasks of the Commission are to ensure close cooperation with international organizations, first of all with UN agencies, on active participation of representatives of Uzbekistan in international events dedicated to the 70th Anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, organization of wide coverage in the mass media of events dedicated to the 70th Anniversary of the adoption of the UDHR, a large-scale work carried out in the country on deepening democratic, socio-political, socio-economic reforms, and others.
