The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to attend the Turkic States Summit

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the invitation of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, will visit Bishkek on November 5-6 to attend the events of the next meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States.

The agenda of the current summit includes issues of further developing multilateral cooperation within the Organization. Traditionally, the focus will be on strengthening political dialogue, increasing trade, economic, and investment cooperation, stimulating business exchanges, and expanding cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

The leaders will also exchange views on current international and regional issues.

It is envisaged that following the meeting, several joint decisions and documents will be adopted, including the Charter of the Turkic World, developed on the initiative of Uzbekistan.
