The President of Uzbekistan discusses partnership development plans in the field of critical minerals with leading U.S. companies

During his stay in New York City, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the heads of leading American companies at his designated residence.
The delegation included Chairman of Traxys Alan Docter, Vice President of the Colorado School of Mines John Bradford, Senior Vice President of FLSmidth Peter Flanagan, Senior Partner and Head of the Central Asia Office of McKinsey & Company Yermolai Solzhenitsyn, and Chief Financial Officer of Go Green Partners Michael Sedoy.
The practical aspects of further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with these leading U.S. companies and organizations were discussed.
Traxys is one of the world’s leaders in the supply of critical raw materials and minerals, including those necessary for the energy transition. A portfolio of promising projects worth $1 billion has been formed with the company in the field of geological exploration and development of deposits. An agreement and a roadmap have been adopted for the introduction of advanced technologies and expertise in the extraction, processing, and creation of sustainable supply chains of critical minerals.
The Colorado School of Mines is a leading engineering university specializing in training professionals for the mining industry.
Work is underway with this institution to establish a Competence Center at the University of Geological Sciences of Uzbekistan.
FLSmidth develops technologies and equipment for the mining and processing industries. The company is actively involved in the development of Uzbekistan’s copper sector.
McKinsey is a leading company in the field of management, consulting, and strategic development of enterprises in the mining industry. Together with the company, a strategy has been prepared for the development of the raw material base, the expansion of capacities, and the profound transformation of Uzbekistan’s mining sector.
Go Green Partners specializes in investments in the extraction and processing of critical minerals for green energy. The company plans to conduct geological exploration in promising areas.
The total capitalization of these companies exceeds $20 billion.
To accelerate projects and prepare new proposals, an agreement was reached to establish a joint working group and adopt a roadmap.
