The President of Uzbekistan discusses the prospects for implementing investment projects together with Oppenheimer

The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Managing Director of the leading investment company Oppenheimer John Tonelli, in New York, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of state, the prospects for implementing projects in Uzbekistan with the involvement of capital from this significant investment bank with assets of $36 billion were considered.

John Tonelli noted with satisfaction the agreements reached to attract private investment in major projects to create and modernize industrial capacities in the country.

In the first stage, these are financing projects for developing textile clusters, enterprises in the building materials industry, and infrastructural development of the city of Tashkent.

In addition, it is planned to direct investments to support small and medium-sized businesses.

The President of Uzbekistan approved these plans and instructed the responsible persons to begin practical work as soon as possible.
