The President of Uzbekistan highlights productive parliamentary cooperation with Russia

On April 7, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, received Valentina Matvienko, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, who is heading the Russian delegation at the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

The President warmly congratulated Valentina Matvienko on her birthday, wishing her good health, well-being, and continued success.

The Speaker of the Federation Council expressed her sincere gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan and conveyed greetings and best wishes from the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin.

The meeting focused on further deepening relations between Uzbekistan and Russia within the framework of a comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance.

The productive inter-parliamentary contacts between the two countries were highly praised.

The importance of continuing active cooperation in exercising parliamentary oversight over the implementation of high-level agreements was emphasized.
