The President of Uzbekistan receives the head of Citigroup

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received John Dugan, Chair of the largest American financial corporation, Citigroup.

Citigroup specializes in providing banking, investment, and financial services. Its market capitalization exceeds $100 billion, and it manages assets worth over $2.3 trillion.

The dynamic development of cooperation with this American corporation was noted with satisfaction.

With the support of Citigroup, bonds of Uzbek banks and state-owned enterprises have been successfully placed on international stock markets. The company has also opened an office in Tashkent.

Special attention was given to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in preparing and structuring IPO transactions of major state-owned enterprises, issuing Eurobonds, providing advisory support to improve the country’s credit rating, as well as developing financial solutions and launching new trade finance instruments.

Agreements were reached on the adoption of a roadmap to expand mutually beneficial cooperation with the corporation.
