The President of Uzbekistan receives the head of the UN Economic Commission for Europe

Yesterday, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, within the framework of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, received the United Nations Under-Secretary-General, Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Europe Tatiana Molcean, reports "Dunyo" IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the head of our state, Ms. Tatiana Molcean conveyed to the President of Uzbekistan the sincere greetings and warm wishes of the UN Secretary-General António Guterres.
Issues related to the implementation of regional and country projects and the practical promotion of initiatives put forward by the President of Uzbekistan at the first summit of the UN Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) in Baku in November last year were discussed.
The President of Uzbekistan noted the Commission’s key role in achieving sustainable development goals until 2030, as well as the assistance provided in transport, innovation, environmental protection, and gender equality, and issues of Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO.
The importance of early adopting the SPECA Development Concept until 2030, launching the Program Trust Fund, and preparing several conceptual documents was emphasized.
