The President of Uzbekistan receives the Serbian delegation

On May 6, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Marko Djuric.

The high-ranking guest conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić to the President of Uzbekistan.

The prospects for strengthening multifaceted cooperation between the two countries in implementing the agreements reached at the highest level in October 2025 were reviewed.

Satisfaction was expressed regarding the active contacts at the government, parliamentary, and business levels, as well as the expansion of humanitarian exchange.

Priority attention was given to increasing trade turnover and to preparing a comprehensive cooperation program in key sectors such as mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, the chemical industry, information technology, agriculture, tourism, and many others.

To advance the economic cooperation agenda, an agreement was reached to hold the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission this year in Belgrade.

Issues related to cooperation in the organized labor migration, culture, and education were also reviewed.

The parties also exchanged views on current regional and international issues and discussed the schedule for upcoming high-level meetings.
