On December 30, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The leaders exchanged sincere congratulations and warm wishes on the upcoming New Year 2020.
The important results achieved in the past year in strengthening Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan relations of centuries-old friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership were highlighted.
The trade turnover is growing dynamically, cooperation in industry and transport is expanding, interregional and humanitarian contacts have intensified. Events within the framework of the Year of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan were successfully held.
Fruitful results of the second Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia in Tashkent in November this year were noted with deep satisfaction.
Views were exchanged on pressing issues of bilateral cooperation, regional and international agendas.
