THE ‘SILK ROAD' RALLY

The Uzbek team International Monitoring Group is set to take part in the sixth stage of the “Silk Road” rally that started in Moscow.

It will cross an area between Lake Balkhash and Almaty with a total distance of 640 km. A number of various types of off-roads are awaiting the participants, such as dunes, sandstone and salt marshes. The change in direction will require crews to accurately follow the road book, and closer to the finish the pilots will have to complete the speed sector.

The Uzbek team will participate in the rally on a car Toyota Hillux.

‘Silk Road’ after a two-year break returns to the calendar of world motorsport. The rallies were held between 2009 and 2013. In 2014 and 2015, the race did not take place. In 2009, the rally raid took place in Russia, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, in other years – only on the territory of Russia.
