The spirit of Uzbekistan comes to life in a new book: British publishing house presents a book by Uzbek writer

The prestigious British publisher "Hertfordshire Press" has presented a new book by Uzbek writer Gulchekhra-Begim Mahmudova, titled "The Legends of Great Silk Road: Adventures of the Spirit of Time", reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

This captivating literary journey, written in English, invites young readers and their parents to discover the magic of history and immerse themselves in the ancient legends of one of the greatest trade routes in the world.

In this first installment of an extraordinary four-part series, they begin their quest in ancient Khiva and Taj Mahal, crossing paths with heroes like Queen Tomiris and the astronomer Ulugbek.

The interactive approach to the narrative makes the book especially valuable for young readers: the characters solve riddles, explore historical landmarks, and truly experience ancient history. Rich illustrations bring the story to life, filling it with the atmosphere of ancient cities, bustling Eastern markets, and vast steppes.

"The tales are not merely escapist adventures but are imbued with lessons on bravery, unity, and the significance of preserving cultural identity", notes Christian Gessl, a British journalist, filmmaker, and cultural figure.

The release of "The Legends of Great Silk Road: Adventures of the Spirit of Time" is a significant event in contemporary children’s and young adult literature, highlighting the rich historical and cultural heritage of Central Asia and opening it up to an international audience.
