The capital of Karakalpakstan hosted Uzbekistan Cup competition on rugby-7 for men and women, according to the information service of the Rugby Federation of Uzbekistan.
Teams of Tashkent, the Republic of Karakalpakstan and other six regions of the country attended the tournament.
Among men the first place and the Cup went to the team of Jizzakh region. Second place has been occupied by the capital’s rugby players, third place - Ferghana region.
The strongest women’s team - Tashkent rugby players. The second place went to the the host team, third place - the girls from the Fergana region.
Recall that in October, the national team of Uzbekistan will take part in the second stage of the international tournament Asian Sevens.
