TO THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF ESTABLISHMENT OF DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS BETWEEN THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN AND THE CZECH REPUBLIC

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic on January 1, the heads of the two states exchanged congratulatory messages.

The message of the President of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman states: “Dear Mr. President, allow me to congratulate You on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic and express my satisfaction with development of bilateral relations”.

“Revitalization of relations between our countries that has taken place in recent years, and strengthening mutual cooperation are very important for us, – noted President Miloš Zeman in the message. Therefore, I am deeply satisfied that You have accepted my invitation to visit the Czech Republic. I also appreciate the steps You are taking towards “opening doors to Uzbekistan”, eliminating trade barriers and stimulating the economy. The Republic of Uzbekistan is an important economic partner for us”.

President of the Czech Republic emphasized that not least he should appreciate the great courage with which our President and new government has undertaken reforms not only in the economy, but also in the areas of foreign policy, justice, democracy and human rights.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized in his message: “It is gratifying that over the past years, close and fruitful cooperation based on strong traditions of friendship, mutual respect and understanding has been established between our countries and people. An open and constructive dialogue is actively maintained in various spheres and formats, trade and economic relations, rich cultural and educational exchanges are developing dynamically”.

The Head of Uzbekistan noted: “I reaffirm the strong commitment of Uzbekistan to further strengthening and deepening multifaceted partnership with the Czech Republic, willingness to jointly implementation of new programs and projects of practical cooperation”.

President of Uzbekistan expressed confidence that “the upcoming contacts at the highest level will allow to exchange views on current issues of further expansion of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic, as well as developing effective measures aimed at filling it with a qualitatively new content”.
