First Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan, Jamshid Abdusalomov, took part in the meeting of tourism ministers of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States, held in Ankara, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the event, the head of the delegation of Uzbekistan presented the results of large-scale reforms implemented in the tourism sector in Uzbekistan, as well as new goals and prospects for regional cooperation in this sphere. It was noted that the number of countries granted visa-free entry to Uzbekistan has increased to 95, and the tourist inflow has tripled. In particular, in 2024, Uzbekistan was visited by over 10 million foreign tourists. He also reported that the United Nations World Tourism Organization has included Uzbekistan among the four fastest-growing tourism markets in the world.

The forum emphasized that tourism serves as a unique tool for promoting peace, stability, and international relations, especially amid global challenges and geopolitical shifts.
