The XII International exhibition "Transport and logistics - TransUzbekistan 2015" has kicked off at Uzexpocentre in Tashkent.
The event is organized by the Ministry for foreign economic relations, investments and trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chamber of commerce of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Uztransgas JSC, Association of international road carriers, Association of international freight forwarders and ITE Uzbekistan international exhibition company.
This international exhibition creates possibilities for promoting attraction of foreign investments to our country, further strengthening cooperation among domestic and foreign companies. Over 50 companies from Uzbekistan, US, Germany, France, Poland, Republic of Korea, China, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Iran, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Belarus and other countries are taking part at the exhibition.
Uzbekistan temir yo’llari JSC stand showcases railway services of its subsidiaries. In particular, comfort and efficiency of services of international and national rail transportation, offered by Uzbektemiryo’lexpedisiya unitary enterprise, which has direct contracts with countries of CIS, Europe and Asia on rendering transport and expedition services, attract participants’ interest.
South Korean Unico Logistics Co Ltd., which has a solid experience in logistics, also demonstrates its services at the exhibition. The company closely cooperates in international transportation with such large manufacturers as GM Uzbekistan, GM Powertrain Uzbekistan, SamAuto
Active participants of "TransUzbekistan 2015" as in previous years became Baltic companies. For instance, the national group of the Republic of Latvia at present exhibition is comprised of over 10 leading transport and logistics companies.
Modernisation of transport and communications system, carried out under the leadership of President Islam Karimov, turns Uzbekistan into an important transport corridor between the West and the East, - says commercial manager of the Ventspils free port Yanis Lubins.- Latvian businesspeople are interested in Uzbekistan and willing to widen the scale of mutual cooperation.
The number of motor vehicles, running on natural gas, has been on the rise in our country. In particular, over 161 thousand cars have changed to natural gas fuel in 2008-2012. Additional 74 thousand vehicles are estimated to use natural gas in 2013-2017.
Addition to sections of "TransUzbekistan 2015" has become the sector of "Gas transport-NGV", in which 11 companies are demonstrating innovations in the use of motor fuel.
The specialized exhibition of the transport industry and logistics services, which brought together representatives of major companies from around the world, will give impetus to the development of international cooperation in this area and attract new investments.
