Members of the U.S. Congress Don Bacon, August Pfluger, Troy Nehls and Doug Lamborn, who arrived in Uzbekistan on a working visit, held meetings with the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva and the Head of the Committee on International Affairs and Inter-Parliamentary Relations of the Legislative Chamber Dilorom Fayziyeva.

The parties discussed issues of further development of cooperation between the parliaments of Uzbekistan and the United States. Representatives of the legislative bodies of the two countries analyzed the issues of further improvement of activities in the field of parliamentary cooperation and discussed other issues of mutual interest in detail.

On the same day, American lawmakers visited the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) to meet with teachers and students of this university. The congressmen spoke about the increasing dynamics of Uzbekistan-American cooperation, the U.S. strategy for the regions, and the growing regional connectivity in Central Asia, in particular with Uzbekistan.

Members of the U.S. Congress also answered in detail numerous questions from students and teachers of UWED and eventually expressed their opinion about the discussion.

It was noted that the level of training of university students made a deep impression on American legislators.
