UK artists congratulated the people of Uzbekistan with Navruz

On the eve of the spring festival of Navruz correspondent of IA "Jahon" in London talked with representatives of Great Britain, who have expressed their sincere wishes to the Uzbek people on this occasion.

Director of the British NGO ProArt & Co Vesna Petkovic:

- The culture and traditions of your people has evolved over thousands of years. Your country has given new life to one of the advanced civilizations of the world, which is considered as a core of the Silk Road.

Over the years of independence, special attention is paid to the revival of national and spiritual values. Because of this, today became popular Navruz celebration of friendship, unity and brotherhood of all nationalities living in the Uzbek land.

Being one of the oldest holidays, Navruz marks the beginning of a new stage of life. It is widely and colorfully celebrated in your country. Rich diversity of dishes, enchanting music, fun in the streets and poetry readings give holiday charm.

Taking this opportunity, I sincerely congratulate the people of Uzbekistan with the upcoming holiday of Navruz. I wish happiness, prosperity and well-being!

Co-ordinator of the British Council exhibition "Spirit of Navruz" Stephanie Farmer:

- In preparation for the exhibition "Spirit of Navruz", which opened in the main building of the British Council in London, I was able to get acquainted with the art and culture of Uzbekistan, and also learned a lot about the talented people of your country.

I want to emphasize that Navruz is celebrated in republic with a special celebration and a high spirit. All visit each other, treat sweets and give gifts. On this day the insults and quarrels are being forgotten.

I congratulate all the people of Uzbekistan with the spring holiday of Navruz and wish new achievements and heights in all your endeavors!
