UN General Assembly Resolution Discussed

Yesterday, participants of a roundtable discussion in Tashkent deliberated on the significance of the recent UN General Assembly resolution “Strengthening regional and international cooperation to ensure peace, stability and sustainable development in the Central Asian region”.

The event was organized by the Institute of Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan with assistance from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The roundtable contributors discussed the essence and significance of the UN General Assembly resolution in the development of Central Asia, as well as the prospects for the consolidation of regional and international cooperation in ensuring peace, stability and sustainable development in Central Asia.

The occasion was attended by representatives of the Senate and Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Trade, the Academy of Sciences, the International Relations Information and Analytical Center, the heads of offices of international organizations and diplomatic missions of foreign countries in Tashkent, as well as domestic and foreign journalists accredited in Uzbekistan.
