Soloists of the Alisher Navoi State Academic Grand Theater, led by the director, the Honored Art Worker of Uzbekistan, Andrei Slonim, for the third time successfully performed in the traditional 16th International Festival ‘Royal Days’ in Russia’s Yekaterinburg.
The residents of Yekaterinburg were waiting for the performances of Uzbekistan soloists with interest and enthusiasm in the cozy audience hall of the Tsarsky spiritual and educational center.
This time Tashkent guests presented a completely new program which was called ‘Under the Shadow of Lime Tree Alleys…’ It is inextricably linked with the subtlety of the spiritual order of all those who lived and dreamed, who sought and experienced losses, who loved and lost their love as if under the shadow of age-old lime tree alleys. This theme is closely related to the special high spirituality of the royal family, the tragic date of the departure from the earthly life of which was dedicated to the entire Yekaterinburg Festival, as well as its evenings and meetings.
Leading soloists of Alisher Navoi Grand Theater - soprano Nadejda Bandelet and mezzo-soprano Anastasiya Yudina with beautiful voices and distinctive acting skills, in creative union with the accompanist and composer Lyudmila Slonim - presented a refined and profound works.
Uzbekistan musicians also presented two premieres - the author romances by the composer Lyudmila Slonim, which were performed in Yekaterinburg for the first time.
The poetic author evening of Andrei Slonim was held on the other day of the Festival, where he recited his spiritual, lyrical, ironic and parable poems of various years.
Guests from Tashkent were warmly received by the whole public. On the initiative of the editors of the Soyuz TV channel, several television programs and interviews were recorded with their participation, as well as a special program with Andrei Slonim, within which he recited his poems.
