Uzbek athletes won 15 medals on "Jeet Kune do"

The national team of Uzbekistan on "Jeet Kune do" in the open championship and the International martial arts festival held in Bangkok won 15 medals, including 12 gold, one silver and two bronze, reports IA UzReport.

According to the Center for the development of martial arts of Uzbekistan Gulshoda Djumabaeva, Sunatillo Asatillaev, Boburjon Tohirjonov, Sanjarbek Ruzibaev, Asadbek Anarbaev and other athletes were awarded medals.

The competitions were held in different kinds of martial arts such as Muay Thai, jujitsu, kickboxing, Taekwondo", "karate", "Pencak Silat" and "Wushu".

It should be noted that "Jeet Kune do" in Chinese language means "the way of advancing fist”. Its main distinguishing feature is the striking fist technique. "Jeet Kune do" sections operate throughout all regions of the Republic. About 5 thousand people across the country are engaged in this type of martial arts today.
